COVID-19

how are you handling covid-19?

The short answer to this question is one day at a time!  We are doing everything we can to offer only the safest of transactions with our clients at this time.  This includes no-contact drop off & pick up of materials/products, video/phone consultations, outdoor social distancing consultations when necessary.  When performing installations, we ask to be left to do them on our own.  It really depends on which aspect of our business you are curious about.  We offer many different services & each transaction is different.  If you have anymore questions regarding this, please feel free to reach out to us directly.

WEDDING STATIONERY

how soon should i contact my stationEry artist?

There is no right or wrong answer to this question, all I can encourage is the sooner you contact your artist the better!  HOWEVER, we do try to highly discourage you from only contacting us one month before you would like to mail your invitations.  Not that we aren't able to complete rush orders, but the experience is much more enjoyable for both you & I when we have time to perfect everything you could ever want for your big day!  I offer free, no obligation, one hour consultations for all my prospects & clients; so if you decide to to go with my services I book your wedding into my calendar and contact YOU when it is time to start the process based on what it is you're looking for!  Obviously very intricate, multiple piece sets, we like to start a little sooner than normal.  With more basic sets, we can wait a little bit longer before starting the process.  There are so many variables and aspects in each & every wedding set I create, so no two situations are ever the same!

HOW LONG WILL MY INVITATIONS TAKE?

This is a question I get asked A LOT, and I am never really sure how to answer it.   As I have said before, every single wedding set I have ever completed has been so incredibly different and has taken different amounts of time to complete.  It is based on how many pieces you order, what you're ordering, where I have to order from, if what you are looking for is in stock, how long it takes to produce, where it is shipping from, in some cases it is a multi-step process; the list goes on!  After meeting for a conversation or discussing what you are looking for to the point of creating a quote for you, I can always give you a good idea of how long it will take to complete your wedding stationary.  That being said, I ALWAYS like to have extra time!

HOW MUCH ARE WEDDING INVITATIONS?

Once again, I offer free quotes & consultations and can't even give you an idea of how much it will cost until I know what it is you are looking for!  I offer multiple products and options though, so if you're on a budget, we can definitely still create the wedding set of your dreams!  Just let us know what your budget is initially, so we can source products within your price range!

DOORMATS & diy kits

HOW LONG dO DOORMATS TAKE TO MAKE?

Doormats take about a week to finish, once you place an order!  The drying process ranges from 4-7 days depending on temperature.  We like to ensure our doormats are perfectly cured before delivering them to our customers!
Sooner delivery can be arranged if you're in a rush, you would just have to let it finish drying before using it!

WHERE CAN I ORDER A DOORMAT OR DIY KIT?

You can order a doormat or diy kit right through our website, here.

are doormats difficult to paint?

This is always a tough question to answer with a general answer!  Our doormats can range in difficulty depending on the design you have close, some range from easy-intermediate, some are actually quite difficult.  The difficulty doesn't come in the painting process, it comes in the transferring of the stencil from paper to mat.  This can all be overcome with a bit of patience & perseverance, or if you're having difficulty, a second set of hands would help!  Now, with that being said, any designs with really small writing can also be a little on the difficult side to paint, but by taking your time & being careful dabbing your paint in, you will have a perfect mat at the end!

thin vs thick designs, which lasts better?

well, the obvious answer is the thicker designs will always last longer, for various reasons.  with thicker designs, there is a lot more paint applied, making it more durable, it is also a wider area to paint, so it is easier to get the paint as far down in the bristles as possible.  When it comes to thin designs, with calligraphy style writing, or extra small print, we do our initial painting of the design, then we go back over it by hand with a fine paintbrush to ensure there is as much paint in it as possible.  with thinner designs, we also add a layer of clear coat for added protection.

is clear coat NECESSARY?

while clear coat is not specifically NECESSARY, it 100% helps your doormat last longer.  we apply clear coat to all thinner designs & we highly recommend it for doormats that will be placed in high-traffic areas, such as businesses or houses with a lot of people coming/going.  clear coat is optional on any design we offer as well as customs, for an extra $5.

CAN YOUR DOORMATS GO OUTSIDE?

ABSOLUTELY.  our doormats are made of durable materials to be able to withstand all that Mother Nature has to throw at them.

with that being said, please refer to the 'best practices' section here, for best placement options.

ARE DIY KITS MESSY?

A question I get asked all the time!  The short answer is, it doesn't *have* to be messy.  When I paint them, I very rarely get paint on my fingers or my surroundings, but I've painted quite a few mats in my day!  if you're concerned about a mess, you can toss some newspaper down & wear gloves while you paint.  Take things slow & don't rush it to avoid making a mess!

How big are your doormats?

Currently, we offer doormats that measure 30" wide by 16" to 18" tall (height varies by the shipment).

general questions

WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?

24/7, basically.  My hours are whatever you need them to be.  I try to make my consultations as easy for you as possible!  I know many of you probably work full time jobs & are only available evenings & weekends, but that's okay!  I can come to you!  Many times, I will do consultations right in the comfort of your own home or come right to your business; we all live busy lives so I want to make it as easy on you as possible!  If you're not comfortable with that, I also often do consultations at restaurants or coffee shops!

how long have you been in business?

I have been operating my business since 2011!  I first started freelancing when I was in high school & have been growing my business ever since.  I worked part time & full time while operating my business until the beginning of 2020.  I am now completely self employed & operating kreative full time!

HOW MUCH DOES DESIGN COST?

Our design rate is $65 per hour.

I have been asked many, many questions over the years,
These are a few that come up quite frequently, but if you have any other questions, PLEASE do not hesitate to ask!
